| 1 can | apple pie filling |
| 1¾ cups | all purpose flour |
| ⅓ cup | sugar |
| 1 tsp | maple flavoring |
| ¼ tsp | cinnamon |
| ½ tsp | salt |
| 2 | eggs |
| ¾ cup | buttermilk |
| Glazing: | |
| 2 cups | powdered sugar |
| ¼ cup | milk |
| 2 tsp | vanilla |
Start with melted butter that's been cooled. Add maple, eggs, buttermilk and incorporate filling bit by bit.
Assemble dry ingredients, flour, sugar, salt and cinnamon.
Incorporate dry into wet little by little and refrigerate.
To make glaze, mix ingredients and beat well. Add more milk if needed.
Heat oil in skillet, fry spoonfuls of batter. Reduce heat a bit to ensure middle gets cooked, about 3½ minutes per side. Don't burn. Drain and glaze.
